Throughout my life, I have been very fortunate to have traveled to Europe many times - and it never ceases to amaze me. Each city I have been to has its own unique charm, history, traditions and - what I think is the most beautiful - architecture and landscape. Getting married in Europe is definitely a dream many have - but not all can make it a reality due to finances, travel for family and friends and/or timing.
But what if I told you you could get married in Florida and still look like you are in Europe?
You can have the look of history and architecture of European villas and still keep your wedding close to home. Florida is filled with stunning venues that give an ode to Europe’s classic art and historical architecture.

Some of my absolute favorites are listed below:
Located in Sarasota, Florida, this historic mansion is surrounded by luscious greenery overlooking the water. It boasts a gorgeous loggia and patio that is perfect for outdoor ceremonies or receptions. The Estate offers plenty of stunning spots inside and outside for gorgeous photos along with plenty of space for your guests to enjoy your wedding alongside you. It is one of those places that needs little to nothing to make your jaw drop.
The Ringling is also located in Sarasota, Florida and comes with a plethora of history honoring John Ringling and his wife Mable. The Museum of Art Courtyard is a favorite for outdoor ceremonies surrounded by Greek, Roman and Baroque-inspired stone statues and beautiful pink archways. The Ca’ d’Zan Terrace & Bolger Campiello is a gorgeous spot for photos against the colorful stained glass as well as overlooking the bay. The Ringling offers a mixture of art, circus, history, architecture and beautiful gardens. To be surrounded by this on your wedding day is a dream come true!
Located in Miami, Florida, close to Coral Gables and Miami Beach, this Old Miami and Tuscany-inspired venue is perfect for your elegant wedding day. With beautifully manicured lawns, Spanish tiles and beautiful archways filled with vining plants surrounding you, you will get a tropical, yet elevated environment for you to say your vows and become one with your spouse.
If you are looking for a luxury European-style venue in Central Florida, Bella Collina is just 30 minutes outside of Orlando near Clermont, overlooking Lake Apopka. This club offers several spots on property for your wedding celebration, including the Grand Lawn, a wine cellar, ballrooms and more! The venue transports you to the heart of Tuscany with its stone walls, gorgeous archways and beautiful greenery, resembling the ambience of Italy wine country.
Built in 1925, this historical venue is situated in Lake Wales, Florida, overlooking Lake Pierce.
Featuring a grand staircase, the outdoor part of this property is sure to make your jaw drop, surrounded by large moss trees and shimmering lake views, creating the most romantic backdrop for your wedding day.
You will find this stunning property in Howey-in-the-Hills, Florida, just south of Leesburg and north of Clermont! This gorgeous mansion is filled with elegant stone, curved stairways, a beautiful antique fireplace and gorgeous archways and doors. This venue is perfect for larger weddings as it can hold up to 400 people.
Built in 1883 and showcasing design elements resembling those of the Alhambra Castle in Spain, this elegant, hidden gem is located near Mount Dora and Zellwood, Florida. This venue can accommodate up to 150 guests and with its gorgeous Spanish courtyard, lush greenery, lake views, boathouse, and wrap-around porch, it offers stunning, endless photo opportunities on your wedding day.
I actually grew up coming here as a kid growing up in Miami. It is one of those places that sticks in your mind forever due to the grandeur and sophistication. Located in Coconut Grove overlooking Biscayne Bay, this oasis is the perfect place for your luxury wedding. The estate offers historical Mediterranean-style architecture, surrounded by beautiful tropical foliage, elegantly manicured gardens and impressive art collections. If you want to envelop yourself and your guests with elegance on your wedding day, Vizcaya is the place.
I hope this blog helps you find the Florida European-inspired venue of your dreams. My passion is photographing gorgeous love stories in elegant and inspiring venues like these.
